Watch Out for Scam Emails: Stay Safe Online
Hello everyone,
In today’s digital age, scam emails are becoming more common. Scammers send fake emails to trick you into giving them your personal information or money. It’s important to be aware of these scams to protect yourself. Here’s an example of a scam email I received:
Subject: Business Opportunity
Dear Sir/Madam,
My name is Mrs. Janet Haas, International Director of Communications S C Johnson & Sons Company Wisconsin United States of America. I was referred to your contact information through the International business e-platform forum online. I’m contacting you for a mutual business relationship regarding our company’s interest in purchasing a product from India in large quantities for production and will be needing your kind assistance as a good partner to present you to my company. Please kindly acknowledge the receipt of my message by sending me your: Full Name, Mobile/WhatsApp Number, and Current Location/Nationality

- Unexpected Sender: If you get an email from someone you don’t know, be cautious. Big companies usually don’t contact you out of nowhere.
- Request for Personal Information: Be wary if the email asks for personal details like your name, phone number, or address. Legitimate companies don’t ask for this information in an initial email.
- Generic Greeting: If the email starts with “Dear Sir/Madam” instead of your name, it’s likely a scam. Scammers often send the same email to many people.
- Too Good to Be True: If the email promises a big opportunity with little detail, it’s probably a scam. Scammers use this tactic to lure you in.
What to Do if You Get a Scam Email
- Don’t Respond: Don’t reply to the email or give out any personal information.
- Report It: Mark the email as spam or report it to your email provider.
- Stay Informed: Always double-check and verify unexpected business offers or requests for personal information.

Scammers are getting smarter and more convincing. Always be careful with emails from unknown senders, and never share personal information without verifying the source. Stay informed and protect yourself from online scams!
